If you know your Titan Powrliner 3500 well and understand the parts and components along with their functionality, you will be able to troubleshoot the striping machine at the time of need. But if you think it is just about releasing the trigger to spray the paint, you are getting it wrong.
The striping machine consists of several parts, which are responsible for a proper mechanism of the stripe generation from storage of paints in the paint container to its supply to the spray gun and then the line generation. If any single component of the Titan 3500 starts malfunctioning, the whole job is ruined.
The spray gun may sometimes malfunction and stop generating proper lines for some reason. If you know the parts, you can troubleshoot the problem in time and solve it.
To fix the proper paint spraying through the gun, the operator should first analyse the reason that has caused the issue. This issue must have arisen because of clogging in any part of the spray gun machine. Once the clog is diagnosed, a thorough cleaning of the part will fix the spraying issue.
Another issue with the stripping machine could be the uneven or messy lines if the paint does not flow with consistent pressure from the gun.
There could be one of the few reasons which may cause this issue. Either the pump needs fixing to exert the full pressure or there is some leakage or loose fitting between the hoses and the connectors that needs to be ruled out and fixed. Filters if clogged must also get changed to keep the flow of the paint consistent.
Hoses or connectors when not fit properly may disturb the stripe line generation.
All hoses must be thoroughly cleaned and the connectors must be tightly fit to avoid leakage and stop the outer air from entering the striping machine during paint suction. If the air enters through any connections it will disturb the paint flow hence disrupting the lines.
Sometimes the machine sprays paint, but the lines appear uneven or inconsistent. This usually happens because of worn or damaged spray tips.
Operators should inspect the spray tip regularly. If the tip shows signs of wear, it should be replaced with a new one. Using the correct tip size for the required stripe width is also important.
Maintaining the spray tip properly will allow the Titan 3500 to produce clean and accurate lines.
Filters are responsible for preventing debris and dried paint particles from reaching the spray tip. If filters become clogged, they can restrict paint flow and affect the spray pattern.
Filters should be inspected and cleaned after each job. If they are heavily clogged or damaged, they should be replaced immediately.
If the pressure system gets disturbed for any reason, it will affect the whole mechanism, affecting your overall job routine.
Operators should first check the pressure settings and ensure they are adjusted correctly. If the problem continues, the pressure control system should be inspected for damage or blockage.
Maintaining the pressure control mechanism helps the Titan 3500 operate smoothly and produce professional striping results.
To keep your Titan 3500 running smoothly and produce efficient results, you need to properly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot the parts and components of the stripping machine. Make sure you store it after thorough cleaning in a proper shady area when not in use for the long term.
If even one part accumulates paint and allows it to get hard inside the machine, the whole paint supply and stripe line generation mechanism will get disturbed.
